SUSTAINABILITY

Hotel Morasol Suites

A Protected Sky

We care for our biodiversity by implementing specific measures to protect local birdlife and rescue species such as the shearwater.

The Canary Islands are home to the Cory’s Shearwater, a protected species that nests on our cliffs.

To prevent young birds from becoming disoriented on their first flight to the sea, Morasol Suites has an intelligent lighting system that automatically reduces outdoor light intensity at night.

If you find a shearwater on the ground, remember that they cannot take flight from land by themselves and may appear injured.

Please do not give them food or drink, and avoid wetting their feathers. Immediately notify our Reception so that our team can activate the official recovery protocol.

Roots and Culture

At Morasol Suites, we invite you to discover the soul of our land through two essential visits that we personally recommend:

Pescado fresco y mariscos sobre una bandeja, con limón y hierbas.

Arguineguín and its Fishermen's Guild

Very close to the hotel, this fishing village offers the opportunity to taste authentic "fresh catch of the day". By eating at its local restaurants, you directly support the fishing families who keep our Canarian identity alive.

MogánMarket

The ideal showcase to discover the island's handicrafts, consume locally sourced products and enjoy a stroll through its picturesque streets.

Furthermore, every 30th May, on the occasion of Canary Islands Day, we transform the hotel into a meeting point for our culture. We share with guests and collaborators the richness of our folklore, traditional dress and typical flavours, ensuring that Canarian heritage is valued and preserved.

Small Gestures, Big Impact

We promote responsible behaviour where every action counts to reduce our water and energy footprint.

We invite our guests to join our conservation efforts by using water and energy sparingly in the rooms. We are working to eliminate single-use plastics and encourage recycling throughout our facilities.

Every small action, from turning off the light when leaving to reusing towels, directly contributes to the transformation of a more sustainable tourism sector.

Thank you for helping us ensure that the sparkle of our island never fades!

The Biosphere Seal

We validate our commitment according to international standards, guaranteeing transparent management and continuous improvement towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

Morasol Suites holds Biosphere Sustainable certification, which guarantees that our practices are aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

This seal is not just a recognition, but a public commitment to continuous improvement in our environmental, social and economic policies.

We share our efforts clearly and honestly to inspire our collaborators, clients and other industry stakeholders to work towards a greener future.
